Durban truly is South Africa's coastal playground, with year round sunshine and shores lapped by the warm Indian Ocean. Durban's latest attraction, uShaka Marine World is oodles of fun - enjoy the water park with stomach-turning water slides, the theme park's world class aquarium, all complimented with a treasure trove of restaurants and bars. Durban has a great many attractions on her doorstep, from the arts and crafts route of the Midlands Meander, to the World Heritage Site of the Drakensberg Mountain Range, Zulu cultural villages, wonderful game parks, where one can view the Big Five and a host of other species on safari drive are possible in a full day's touring.

Durban Day Tours

Durban City Tour Africa's principal port and one of South Africa's principal holiday destinations, with miles of beautiful beaches and hundreds of other activities and attractions, this is definitely holiday country. During this three hour tour we visit all main attractions of this bustling and attractive metropolis. From the colonial heart of the city, passing the largest port of Africa, to the Golden Mile, the Botanical Gardens and the Victoria Street Market and the Indian Areas of Durban. Aliwal Shoal Dive Experience This prime dive site is situated around 50 km's South of Durban and has been elected as one of the world's top ten dive sites. Besides a vibrant topography this fossilized sand dune offers many marine species including regular shark sightings. During the South African winter months the docile Ragged Tooth Sharks (Sand Tiger Sharks) come to visit and allow spectacular close-ups. from R 790 (Dive Certification required - Minimum 2 participants)



KwaZulu Natal Day Excursions

Shakaland Zulu Experience: Enjoy a day dedicated to learning about the indigenous Zulu people. The tour will start at the King Shaka Memorial Site and then move onto the main attraction - Shakaland. A trip to Shakaland affords visitors the chance to experience Zulu Culture first hand which includes an opportunity to taste authentic Zulu beer and culminates in a variety of spectacular Zulu dancing. After Lunch we take a trip into the Dlinza Forest Reserve where spectacular views and a magnificent array of bird life can be enjoyed from the high raised board walks which wind their way through the beautiful reserve. Sani Pass Great open spaces in a world of gigantic peaks and butresses, a world of towering sandstone cliffs and hidden valleys, of priceless virgin forests and crystal clear rivers, of rolling hills and grasslands.
The tour leaves from Durban and progresses through Pietermaritzburg, the capital of Kwa-Zulu Natal and then up to Sani Pass. The Sani Pass is a 33-kilometre gravel road that straddles the sheer cliffs of the Drakensburg escarpment in a series of tight zigzag curves.  The route begins at the Sani Pass Hotel which is 1566m above sea level. You will travel in a Land Rover 4x4 upwards along the narrow road crossing the South African/Lesotho border Post which is 1968m above sea level. 
Along the way the South African landscape of Kwa Zulu Natal opens up in front of you displaying spectacular views of rolling hills and vast skies.  A delicious lunch will be enjoyed at a local Pub which sits at the highest point in Southern Africa, 2873m above sea level.

Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Two of Africa's oldest game reserves (1895) and the linking Corridor Reserve makes up 96 000 ha Park where the 'Big 5' and others, like the elusive Cheetah, as well as an abundance of birdlife is to be seen. Our day tour departs Durban in the early morning for a full day game drive through this magnificent game reserve.
